Softjourn: “Full-Cycle Software Development & IT Consulting Company”.
How long does it take to build an AI chatbot?
“A focused chatbot with basic integrations takes 4–6 weeks from kickoff to production. Chatbots with several two-way integrations, custom data preparation, or compliance reviews can take 8–12 weeks and launch in phases. We confirm the timeline at the end of discovery, once the data sources and integrations are known.”
View in the company profileHow much does it cost to develop an AI chatbot?
“The build cost depends on the number of integrations, the data that needs cleaning and structuring, and the channels and languages you need. Running cost depends on model usage, and routing simple questions to lighter models keeps it predictable. We give an estimate after discovery, with build and monthly running costs shown separately.”

“Choose based on your data rules, request volume, and budget. OpenAI models perform well on general tasks but charge per token and process data on a third-party platform.”
