How Many Questions Should We Ask in One Practice Session?
“For most children, three to five questions are enough. Younger learners may manage only two, especially after school. Older children can handle more if the topic interests them. Stop while the talk still feels positive. A short, steady habit helps more than a long session that ends in pressure or tired silence.”

“Accept the idea first, then help with the English. You can say, “Good idea. In English, we can say, ‘I was scared because it was dark.’” Children in multilingual homes often understand more than they can produce at once. Mixing languages can be a bridge, not a failure.”

“Correct lightly. If you stop after every mistake, your child may speak less. Choose one pattern to model and keep the talk moving. For example, if your child says, “Yesterday I go,” answer with “Yesterday you went to the park. What did you do there?” This gives the right form inside a real exchange.”
