“StayCanadian is a Canadian short-term rental discovery platform. Travellers search Canadian vacation rentals in one place and book directly on the host's own website — no added booking fees, no commissions.”
“Yes — when you book directly with a host, your payment is processed on their secure booking website using encrypted, PCI-compliant payment systems such as Stripe, Moneris, Square, or other professional processors. These are the same secure technologies used by major online retailers and hospitality brands.”
“Availability on a host's direct booking site comes from the same synced calendar feeds and property management systems that update their listings everywhere else, in real time. Professional short-term rental hosts already manage availability across multiple platforms and channels. Booking direct uses the same calendar systems that power their listings elsewhere, just without the layered platform fees.”
“You contact the host directly — the person responsible for the property. There's no call center and no ticket queue. Professional hosts depend on guest satisfaction, repeat bookings, and reputation. If something needs attention, you speak directly with the person who can resolve it.”
