Questions & answers

Who owns the code?

“You do. Every app, flow and document sits in your own Microsoft 365 tenant under your accounts, and anything custom-coded goes in a repo you own. Nothing about the build depends on me being around. No retainer lock-in by design.”

What if you are unavailable?

“I fix bugs in what I build free for 60 days after handover. You own every app, flow and the documentation in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, so if I am unavailable any Power Platform person can pick it up.”

How long does it take?

“A Workflow Review wraps up inside a fortnight. A full build is 4–8 weeks from kick-off to handover. I ship something working early and improve it on real use. I do not start with a 60-page slide deck.”

Can I see examples?

“See the work page. The enterprise builds come from my health-sector background and are anonymised. The rest are tools I built and run in my own business. Client builds get the same standard, with proper scoping.”

What if my data is sensitive?

“I can build entirely local, air-gapped systems where nothing leaves your machine. No cloud APIs, no third-party data handling. Common requirement for healthcare and legal clients.”

Do we need an AI policy for employees?

“Yes, once staff use AI tools with work or client information. The Privacy Act 2020 still applies to personal information typed into those tools, and MBIE's responsible AI guidance for businesses names AI usage policies as a good way to set clear expectations for staff.”
