Ottobahn
Project for a suspension railway in Bavaria, Germany.
On which routes does the OTTOBAHN run?
“The cabins of the OTTOBAHN run 5-10 m above the ground. The elevated tracks can be installed over existing infrastructure such as roads, rails and highways. The OTTOBAHN system is designed for both short and long distances.”
在公司资料中查看How is the OTTOBAHN powered?
“Each cabin is powered by efficient electric motors. Our infrastructure provides plenty of space for solar panels – because we not only want to be emission-free, but also CO2-neutral.”
在公司资料中查看How do you control the OTTOBAHN network?
“Essentially, each pod is autonomous and decides for itself which route it will take. The pods share information with each other, such as which route they will take, to avoid traffic jams, accidents and similar.”
在公司资料中查看Is the OTTOBAHN a public transport system or is it also suitable for private transport?
“The OTTOBAHN combines both worlds: The cabins are deployed and maintained as in public transport systems. At the same time, the pods take each passenger individually to their destination, just like a taxi.”
在公司资料中查看How much will a ride on the OTTOBAHN cost?
“The OTTOBAHN will be integrated into the local public transport ticketing system. Existing subscriptions can be used with the OTTOBAHN.”
在公司资料中查看Is the OTTOBAHN safe?
“We will make the OTTOBAHN significantly safer than today’s transportation systems.”
在公司资料中查看Can you already take a test drive on the OTTOBAHN?
“At this stage, there is already almost 40m test track in our office in Munich.”
