Why are three-lug bolts superior to two-lug bolts in Modern Rifles?
“n bolt-action rifles, the locking lugs on the bolt head are the protrusions that engage with recesses in the receiver (or barrel extension) to secure the action during firing. A two-lug design typically features two primary lugs positioned 180 degrees apart, requiring a 90-degree bolt rotation to lock and unlock.”
